My now wife was a barista at the cafe across from where I worked. One day she went to pass me my coffee but then pulled it back and said “What are you doing after work”. I’m ridiculously introverted and this really caught me off guard, but I agreed to meet up with her. Been together over 12 years now.
Honestly, a large part of agreeing to meet up was I didn’t want to jeopardise my coffee. She was an excellent barista!

Story 2: Mike and his brother experienced so much loss in their young lives and now Mike is the last one standing. It’s so incredibly sad. I just hope Mike doesn’t fall into a prolonged, deep depression or decide to do something drastic. I’ve heard too many stories where grieving people have left their old lives behind, including their loyal partners, because they couldn’t cope with all the memories of what they’d lost. 😢

Ex screwed me over big time by leaving me for a woman he'd met online and abandoning me thousands of miles away from anyone I could trust with no money, no vehicle, and caring for his disabled mother. The ex's then best friend sided with me through the divorce and let me move in with him when my ex's mom broke my arm. He even paid for my plane ticket back home. We became closer over the years and eventually he moved to where I was due to a job opportunity. We started dating about 6 months later and are still together. We're engaged, but in no rush to get married.

I am the extrovert gf that landed an awkward introverted cutie, from my POV, there was a new kid in my homeroom class in 5th grade elementary (yes, I am aware this is silly, yes, we have crushed on each other since 5th grade elementary) and I decided I was gonna go for it. Anyway so we're 18 and in a couple of years will have spent half our lives with one another and will have been together for like a decade.

Didn't find anybody, despite regular compliments (usual bs like handsome, smart, funny). People at work were surprised to hear I was single, but everyone keeps saying I'll find 'someone', but idk. Not wanting to go out EVER is really tough to developing social connections 😂
