Thank you so much. That ice storm this last winter sucked and this is what happened to my beautiful maple right in front of my front porch.
Thanks again,

Sorry, this is bad advice.  I'm a professional arborist and this tree is damaged beyond repair. One can 'put the tree back together' with braces, bunji and duct tape but the core wood will never repair because the core wood is dead anyway, only the bark is alive. Even if the cambium layers between broken limbs could grow together (highly doubtful as the joint is likely dirty and does not fit exactly and is not sealed against drying out, fungi and insects) the core wood will never heal. Core wood is dead and once it's broken it's broken forever. It's not like the bone of a person that can heal. Even if the tree lives all that paraphernalia must be kept in place for the rest of the tree's life - which is typically very very short.   Most of the time, when one fits the tree back together like this, it all looks like it succeeded, then one day soon the tree just ups and dies.  Often this happens in a hot spell when the tree needs to move more sap but can't because at that point the damage becomes critical. It’s like the tree can barely survive with the damage early on, but once real stress is put on it, it just fails.  Spare yourself this exercise in futility, remove the tree and replant.
