Discover the dos and don'ts of staking newly planted trees in our comprehensive video guide! Many people believe staking is always necessary for young trees, but this isn't always the case. In fact, staking, when done incorrectly, can be more harmful than beneficial.

Our video aims to debunk the myths surrounding tree staking, explaining how the movement of a tree's trunk promotes its growth and stability. Surprisingly, most young trees don't need staking at all, and doing so can actually delay the development of the trunk and roots.

However, there are certain situations where staking is beneficial. This includes cases where the tree needs assistance in standing while its roots establish, or if it continually leans despite being well-rooted. Trees in high traffic areas, regions with high winds, or those that aren't standing straight may also require staking.

We'll guide you step-by-step through the proper staking procedure. Learn how to correctly place stakes, position the ties as low as possible on the trunk, and choose the right materials for the job. It's crucial to avoid tying the stakes too tightly and to remember to remove the ties within a year once the tree can stand independently.

This video is a must-watch for anyone interested in horticulture, gardening, or simply taking better care of their backyard trees. So, let's learn together how to stake responsibly for healthier, stronger trees!
