Sir if 3+i is a root do I loose marks because of the the top of my head I can say that in completes the square form since it would give u a conjugate pair anyway, so you would get (z-3)^2=-1
Since sqrt of -1 is i
Therefore z^2-6z+10 is a factor

Another example would be 1+2i is a root so
(z-1)^2=-4 because we sqrt4 x sqrt -1 is 2i
So z^2-2z+5 would be a factor

Could you use algebraic division at 14:42 to show that z^2+4 is a factor (by dividing the polynomial by z^2+4)?

At 9:56 you said alpha + beta = -b and also done the product of the roots. But in this case isn't a =2 and not 1?

Hello sir. I will be probably going into Further Maths at the end of the year. Is it advisable to make a list of the important formulae and knowledge in IGCSE/GCSE Add Maths to be used once I am in Further Maths?
And are they actually used, for eg the Remainder and Factor Theorem in A Levels?
