i think the best gag in this episode is bart, maggie and lisa finally questioning their own apperance, partcularly where their airline starts. i'm surprised it took 20 yrs to for someone to mention that.

If my memories are correct, Marge Simpson (born Bouvier) is of French origin. So, with her blue hairstyle, Selma's blond hair, and Patty's red hair, it's a perfect wink to the French flag. Everything is linked. XD

It's an interesting little nod. Way back in one of the earlier seasons Reverand Lovejoy's wife is gossiping and mentions that she heard that Marge's hair is dyed and she was actually "gray as a mule".
