We planted almost 500 cloves of Music last fall. We started off with a pound 4 yrs ago. We got 5 freezer bags of scapes here in downstate. We harvest it 2 weeks ago.

Incredible. I wish we had more property to grow this much garlic. Scapes should be ready next week. Thank you for sharing.

That field of garlic is envy on the screen. How cool! The dream for sure. I think I will plant garlic in our in-ground 8x12 bed this year after seeing how awesome that much garlic looks all together.

Great idea about using the leftover bits for stock Sasha! Did not even think about that.

We're further south than you. I learned so much from you and Sasha. My scapes are straight already. I'll still break them off, but will remember your teaching for earlier scape harvest next year.

Great info. First year growing and....I waited too long. Lesson learned. As you said bulbs were small and scapes were as tough as tent poles. 😁 the best way to learn (IMO) is by f-ing up, with a little bit of guidance. Thank you, for the guidance...😁
