I was told that a better way to know your garlic is ready is that like you did cut of the water & watch the leaves AND when the plant folds over completely. Have you heard this before? So I've waiting each year for the plant to "lay down" and then I harvest. Thanks for the tip on how to harvest the scapes... I usually just would cut them & I did not know when they flowered the produced seed for future bulbs. Great info... thanks.
