The hardest thing to do in golf is swing easy…swinging slower is key!! Thank you!

Correct. A good method is to hit some 50% effort 50-60 yard shots with a sand wedge, just focusing on using that front knee to help you turn at the start of downswing. That’s usually how I start out before slowly progressing. You are also correct that a slower, more contained swing will create more consistent distance because while you may be swinging a little slower, you’re flushing everything.

I learned this yesterday on the course. I was hitting significantly farther and more consistently with a smooth swing versus when I was trying to jack them out there. As a 20 handicap it was difficult to remember to not try to swing for the fences every shot. Keep up the good content!

it is interesting that most golfers are obsessed with swing speed and it is a fact that the longest hitters have tremendously fast swing speeds so i think a better title for the video is slow your swing speed down for more center hits as the average golfer tends to miss the center of the club reducing distance because they swing too fast and can't square the club. Once you are able to square the club on a consistent basis then one can speed up the club head.

I love helpful videos for those who don’t even know their handicap yet, to even scratch golfers.

This is perfect for those days you’ve finished a bad front 9, get some breathes in and a fresh scorecard turnover, then watch a few of these before the back.

My best holes are always in the back nine even if I’m not as filled with energy as before. The ability to keep playing and only worrying about the next shot is key, without getting frustrated like I used to on every front 9

Swung slow….hit it bone straight and farther than any of the other 199 balls. Wish so could have you as a personal coach. Your Videos are the next best thing!!!

This is so true as for myself I’ve always bounced the club from the top throwing right shoulder out loosing right arm and wrist angles…the pause at the top(smooth transition)and holding angles to hip height is something we should all be repetitively practicing daily to improve. Also keep arms and shoulders, wrists relaxed

I never ever felt comfortable with my swing or results until I took lessons with a Golf Pro . Now when I go on the course it's a different story . I hit my irons flush, and am confident when I step into the T box . My point these videos are a good reference point, but there is NO SUBSTITUTE to having someone actually watching you hit, make the necessary adjustments and watching you hit again and again !

It’s true.. typically for amateurs, the harder you swing the lower your CHS will be. Your legs and core are your power. Your arms are just the extension of the club. Forget about using your arms for power. Get your hands in sync with your core and legs, and when you get them consistently out in front of the ball before impact, you’ll start hitting nukes. Think “noodle arms” and apply what this guy says (he’s got a beautiful swing!) and you’ll knock 5-10+ strokes off your game and strike the ball soooo much more consistently.. I was on the track man years back. Swinging as hard as I could, I got 98 to 102mph.. I then let my body do the work, and effortlessly let my arms “noodle”, and slowed down to allow mechanics to properly fall in place and I gained 4-6 mph chs and was getting 102-108mph.
