Thanks David, excellent video, short and to the point. Got these, haven't had to use them, but now know how they work!!

I like the bar end storage, but I think I'd get Stan's "Dart", because the plug actually reacts with the sealant, purportedly allowing a more permanent seal. (it may not react with all sealants, but it definitely does with Stans)

Good, informative upload, as usual, David. One suggestion, which makes the process more effective/efficient: when you push the applicator and strip into the tyre, twist it round a couple of times then pull the applicator out.

I bought something similar just a few weeks ago - just to be safe. Mine's a Maxalami Twister and it also fits into the handlebar. Haven't tried it yet, tho cause I didn't puncture, yet - at least as far as I can tell.

the cool enduro mtb racers in bc, tape the plug kit to the handle bar so to plug the puncture within seconds and maybe just keep riding. ive done that to my gravel bike, punctures seam more frequent than road. my kit is extremely small, barel;y noticable on handle bar

David, will these strips work if you don't have any sealant in the tyre? I'm thinking Conti tubeless that will inflate without sealant.

I'm on the fence regarding tubeless tyres but it is something i would at least like to try. Have always ridden clinchers and tubulars for a short while when i used to race. Do you carry sealant with you as well on your rides?

Would you recommend these for road tubeless; and how do they fit as bar plugs on a drop bar?

I some times ride with my hand on the end of a dropbar. Would the outside part be too high/big or rough for my hands? They look like little circular saw blades.

Whilst I've never had to use one yet, I'm not sure these strips are any good for slick road tyres. Mountain bike tyree have knobbles that protect the strip from getting ripped out, but not so with a slick road tyre.

I'd be interested in looking at Stan new dart that reacts with the sealant or Dynaplug that has a brass ferrule that sits inside the tyre holding onto the strip.

Does anyone have experience with these for road? I've resorted to having a spare tyre so I can repair a holed one with a normal patch from the inside, but it's time consuming.

All in all, love tubeless and luckily only had to tube once because I hadn't topped up the sealant for months. My bad...

Is it easy to to put a hole in the tubeless rim tape and leak air and sealant through the spokes holes when applying the plug?

For the road model how big of a hole will they plug?

Has anyone stranded with a flat tubeless tire, not being able to repair it? And what kind of bike do you ride?

They don't work that easy on a real world hole, had a flat yesterday on my Conti 28mm 5000 tubeless, it was a small gash had to put two strips in it but still didn't seal had to call for a lift home, have now ordered the Stans Dart kit which looks much better. I wouldn't recommend the strip type ones, the Stans appear to be a flat patch capable of sealing larger irregular shape holes.
