love what you teach. you teach the basics of math and I compltely understand all of your videos. you are a blessing in disguise. thank you for all you do. i keep le learning these over and over again. i got a 40 percent and 60 percent on my college tests but I still managed to graduate from college and make it through. i should have studied more in math and english. i was good at history and science. and basic english. so I am doing my best to brush up on my skills. you sir I commend you for that. thank you. even though I failed my test I passed with the top grades in college and I still did well. the power of self works in amazing ways. thank you.

This is exactly how I mentally calculate numbers as well. It's actually a combination of adding and counting. Also, you could just simply add the tens column just as you were adding a single digit ones column and add a zero to your answer; this will give you the sum multiplied by 10. When you total your tens column sum, simply count down your ones column as you are adding at the same time.
