Felix Cavalieri (?) had such a special voice. It’s like it’s bursting with joy.

It's amazing that Sullivan had the power to force musical acts to shorten their songs. The recorded version of Groovin' is almost a minute longer.

This song takes me back to my childhood growing up in the mid 60's & 70's. On a Sunday the blue laws existed. My mom would make a big Sunday lunch. After lunch my dad would take us fishing. We would go to this big pond on a beautifully privately owned property. We would just sit there with our fishing rods in the water waiting for the fish to bite. The sun shining, the beautiful summer breeze blowing, our little transistor radio playing... and we were "Groovin' "on a Sunday afternoon!
Those were the days! I would love to go to that big pond with my dad fishing, that little transistor radio playing... just "Groovin' "on a Sunday afternoon like we once did.
Thank you for the memories... makes me wanna go "Groovin' "on a Sunday afternoon!
Happy Sunday... thank you for sharing! 💖

I was 16 and played the drums when I first saw Dino and the Rascals. I had other friends that played the drums in bands at the time and when we saw Dino with sticks flashing everywhere we knew right away we wanted to copy his style, but that was easier said than done. He was not only a great drummer but a great showman like his teacher Gene Krupa. He had those pink champagne Ludwig's with the 24" bass drum and he sat real low. I final got my prink champagne Ludwigs and sat real low but soon found out it wasn't as easy as Dino made it look. R.I.P Dino!
