As a Japanese person, when I came to India bcz someone died in my family (Uncle), We were told that we eat with hands and all, then at first it felt weird, then I asked to my brother that why you guys eat with hands,
my brother replied : We don't feel bad or unhygienic to touch the thing that gives us life and energy.
That hit me hard.
Then from that day on, I still eat with my hands. But Yes, I still use chopsticks when I'm in restaurant.
