California deserves the same level of federal assistance that North Carolina received following the October hurricane.

I was a firefighter for twelve years, all the community meetings and city planning meets I've sat in on I can tell you people who plan for this stuff have no idea how bad things can get. And how fast resources can be depleted. I've learend not to trust the government to help when things like this happen. This happened in a developed community. No community is immune to this.

HEY! FOX! Can you show us less footage of the burned out palisades and rich peoples houses, , and give us plebes more information on ACTIVE FIRES THAT ARE BURNING IN OTHER AREAS LIKE, OH I DOMT KNOW, spreading A D WHERE ARE THEY HEADING? I’d like to have time to prepare too! You can tell us about all the historic buildings LATER, and tell us about the celebs houses LATER. They’ll be fine. They have money to go somewhere else. Our houses and pets are just as important to us, more, and I’d like some time to prepare too. I’m at the 5 - 14 fire, and I have NO IDEA if the Hurst fire is coming my way. None.

Never seen anything like this ever. Whole communities just gone... and all people could do was stand back and watch it burn and many won't be able to rebuild because the insurance companies dropped them recently.

Where were/ are all the federal funds for the half of North Carolina that was flooded 2 months ago? Many people are still living in tents during winter in North Carolina!

This type of fire devastated New South Wales and Queensland in 2019, and was our worst fire in Australia for many decades many are still rebuilding 😢

All the rich history that is being destroyed, all the homes, all the businesses people built from the ground up- my heart seriously breaks for these people. ❤

To everyone saying things like, "They’re rich, they can afford it, " please stop. These people lost their entire home. Take a moment to consider what it would feel like to lose everything—your home of 20–30 years, the place where you grew up, created memories, and stored a lifetime’s worth of belongings. Wealth doesn’t make someone any less human. Compassion is essential, no matter someone’s financial status. My thoughts and prayers are with those affected, and I sincerely hope this serves as a wake-up call for those mismanaging the city.

I live in No. California, moved from Orange Co. years ago, remember the strong Santa Ana winds. We have had our share of fires here in Siskiyou County, the town next to me was wiped out several years ago. Praying for people to get the right help in this time of need.
