From most who knew him (I knew a couple of his close friends), Wilt was a great guy. He helped a young Alcindor navigate the challenges of stardom. Invited Kareem to his NYC apt and to his Harlem Jazz Club. Gave him clothes to wear. Wilt was outgoing, enjoyed life, and meeting new people. The antithesis of Kareem. Too bad KAJ maintained this jealousy of Wilt throughout his life.

Wilt was for the most part, an easy going guy that most got along with. My uncle who also played basketball. Go along with Wilt. I'm guessing that Wilt was tired of the tall jokes and was caught on a bad day.

Look nobody is perfect . We've all had moments we're not proud of.
