It is important to mention the spacer for the z limit switch. Printers like the elegoo need it. If you don’t print it out and add it. You will get grinding noises when the printer tries to go home. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about their printers and didn’t use the spacer.

This is a game-changer. Us Phenom guys printing big stuff are gonna have such an easier time. I've never used a metal scraper if I can help it specifically to avoid gouging. Now I don't have to suffer with my plastic scraper, lol

Just got my Saturn and flexplate today!!! Looking forward to trying the flex plate. I knew I needed one after hearing you giggle when that 1st failed print popped off. Seriously though, watching your vids convinced me I can jump into 3D printing. Thank you for the great content!

Thank you SO much for this. I first got my 3D printer 2 weeks ago and already scraped the hell out of my build plate. I ended up gluing the magnet directly to the plate I loved the thing so much.

Thanks so much Uncle Jessy. I have a Saturn and a Mars and installed my new flex building plates today. Thanks to you, I no longer have to worry about stabbing my hands with a putty knife when removing my prints.

Oh man I seen them announce this and got super excited. Glad to see it in use. Wow popping off resin prints has got to be satisfying!

That's incredible! All printers need this by default!!

Even the failures was cool to see them popped up. I ordered the Double Wham for my Mars Pro. I so can't wait for it.

I am SO glad I ran across your channel when I first looked into getting into resin printing. Your videos are awesome. I started on your Saturn S review and the any cubic wash/cure station.. current setup I am running now. I went from 6 FDM printers wanted to add another larger one but decided to go with a resin. Your videos have helped me tremendously and I appreciate it 10 fold!!

Nice demonstration; thanks for shooting it!
I want this plate but $20 shipping on a $37 purchase (Mars-sized plate) I will wait until it's available locally.
On the bright side, I had never heard of these before and the FDM versions are available at a local store so I'm gonna pick up one of those for my Craftbot! :)

Jessy, Love it, but not available for my printer yet. I'm on the list...

I have to question why you would even need to remove the build plate assembly anymore? Surely you could just pop off the magnetic plate. No need to worry about it going out of level anymore.

but what about the strong magnets? will they interfere with the lcd panel? or being in close proximity to the worm gear, will it foul up the mechanics by accidentally magnetizing the parts?

Got one ordered for my incoming Saturn. Looking forward to doing a lithophane in 20 minutes :)

The biggest plus is that you'll be able to print big flat surfaces directly on bed, without worrying about the removal.

Man, awesome idea. I have a hell of a time getting prints off my Transform build plate. Going to give these a try.

Glad to hear those magnets are nice and strong. When you were installing it, I was worried about those thin magnets but it looks like you were able to print with no issues. This would be great for a lot of the semi-functional printing I now find myself doing but I'd have to totally change my routine for print removal.

I successfully managed to preorder one with your code before this video was even over. Can't wait!

Just a heads up for those getting one for the Elegoo Saturn. The build plate for the Saturn seems to have two sizes. The original and advertised size is 192 x 120. The possible newer version is slightly bigger at around 195 x 125 give or take a mm. I let WhamBam know of this as I noticed it when I got my replacement Build Plate for the Saturn. So WhamBam is aware of this and is double checking with Elegoo to confirm. If it is confirmed, WhamBam should be adding that size as well at some point down the line.

So far I know of one other person that also received a larger replacement build plate.

Anyways, when you all get your Saturn you might want to double-check the size of your build plate just to make sure.
