Actually a brilliant, wonderful idea. This is super helpful if you use highly pigmented resins where the pigment has a tendency to separate and settle at the bottom.

Super quick tip, thanks for the shout out! I love it for mixing old resin, adding color drops, checking FEP, and clean up of vats!

POV: You haven't found a single negative comment yet. Only people prising him for this helpful tip, even if people like me don't do anything with rezin.

Also a great way to shift the resin around a bit just long enough to see if something's stuck to your FEP sheet. You can see it and feel it. Then you can proceed straight to complaining that you have to tip everything out and fix it :P

Perfect Idea. In Germany you can buy a cheap one from Rossmann stores under the Flink & Sauber brand for 1, 99 Euro

Thanks for the tip. I had been using kitchen rubber spatulas from the same shopping place.

Already bought one a while ago, a great tip for fixing dents in the fep is to use a hairdryer.

I came up with the same idea last year and you have to be careful as if any particles come off the rubber or the plastic this then mixes into the resin and can cause contamination and possibly ruin your print plus the resin!., also any shards of plastic gets into the resin this could damage and possibly puncture the film.
Resin at the end of the day is a chemical and like all chemicals they don't react to well when mixed with other foreign materials or other chemicals, by all means don't let me put you off or dismiss the idea, I am only going on what my experiences were and also knowledge of chemicals which I learnt through my time as a printer where the inks can be contaminated so easily, even with objects used to mix the inks, plus chemical reactions.

If you go to the cooking utensil section they have a small silicone spatula and a silicone little bakers thing they're small enough and those are great for using too

After watching your video, I went out and bought this among other tools for resin at the dollar store.

Love the $1 hacks series idea :-) I tried something similar and found the issue you had at 34s in.... tidal wave over the side lol Wonder if cutting some offset "vents" in the rubber would work?

I suck up the extra resin through a straw and pit it back into the bottle. The saliva doesn't seem to cause any issues printing
