Ingredients:
1 Chicken
1 large onion
2 tbs olive oil
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp salt
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp thyme
1 1/2 tsp black pepper

I found this video this week and tried this chicken today. Cooked this 8 hours as recommended. This is without a doubt the best chicken I have ever had! The onions were wonderful. For Todd's Chicken
In a bowl place:
2 tsp of paprika
2 tsp of salt (optional)
1 tsp of onion powder
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of thyme
½ tsp of black pepper
Mix it up to combine everything
Place the washed chicken into crock pot. Pat it down with paper towel. Add Olive Oil and spread it with your hand. Place the spice mixture on top and spread it with your hand. Cut an onion into quarters and place it around the chicken.
Todd says to cook it on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours. The latter is preferred because it will let all those flavors infuse and it will taste even better and it will be even more tender.
The same recipe works for chicken parts.

I made this recipe, added a lemon cut up to stuff the chicken with. And I cut up 1 large potato, slowed cooked 8 hrs. And it was absolutely the best roast chicken I’ve ever made! Thank you for an awesome recipe. Definitely a keeper!!

I made this! I used 1/3cup of mayo, mixed the spices into the mayo, and rubbed the chicken inside and out with it. That added a great flavor to the chicken. It was so moist.

OK, one more thank you from me. I tried this and I loved it and my husband did too. It was a big hit this year and it has replaced my old roast chicken recipe as we both love this one more. This is my go to chicken recipe from now on.

I found I liked to put the onions under the chicken so the chicken is not touching as much of the liquid left in the pot after.

The spices in the rub are just prefect too. And it was just as you said. The house definitely did smell amazing as it was cooking. So you've got two more fans of this recipe over here in Canada. :-)

Hi Todd, today I cooked your recipe (whole chicken from the slow cooker). We liked it very much. The chicken was very juicy and tender. I could take it completely out of the slow cooker, without it fecaying. Looked great on a plate with mashed potatoes glazed carrots.
