We’d like to say that TIMECODE IS AWESOME. If you’re using it, good for you and more power to you! Capture ALL of the candid moments you can. it might be a bit too much to handle for a beginner. So know where you stand, and make sure to do whatever it takes to serve the family best. The more that you can capture THE BETTER.

"It depends..." is never a short answer. 🤣 Great video and recap!

Rode has said the time codes will keep going if you are out of range and re sync to double check against each other when back in range. (they did a q and a video)

It’s tempting. I feel like DJI is two months away from releasing some new mics. I still probably buy them. 😂

Do you tape to microphone to get speeches feed with these mics ?

GREAT shout on the livestream!
I have the Rode Go ii for livestreaming, and I'll buy the Rode Pro for livestream too for sure because #32bit
But will these become part of my workflow for weddings? Nope.
I'm still team Tentacle. If my hourly rate I pay myself is $50/hour then I've already saved THOUSANDS beyond the initial investment in the time/pain/manual syncing they've saved me

Did you test how good the signal is when a human body is between the transmitter and receiver? All the other little wireless Rode systems cut out if you put the pack on the side of the person that's away from the receiver. I can't truse them for weddings because of that.

How does it handle loud music? Is the sound distorted? I'm looking for a new mic for livestreaming Sunday church service and my current mic distorts the music, especially the organ or a brass ensemble. I figure if this can handle music at a reception, it'll handle my church organist! 😀

Thank you so much sir.
This is a
very unique video
.I have a query to you.
I am told that at times this sort of mics gets signal interferences.
If so, can it be used as hands free mic for a pastor to address the church ?
Is the interference a real issue ?
Any way to solve the interference?
Thank you .

Do you think this is better audio quality than the original Rode Wireless Go? I have the Rode Wireless Go and I am happy with it.

I’ve been wondering if the units are physically smaller? Same size as before?

Nice! Quick question. Can you turn off wireless transmitting so not to disturb another wireless mic that is provided at the wedding venue via DJ? I've had this issue before and it's why I use the Tascam DR10L.

i would not depend on one system for wedding's. I have them all Tentacle Sync, Sony radio mics, & rode wireless pro. I have used the rode pro and it has worked fine for me however others have had problem's so back up back up.

It Needs this improvement soon: The Rode Mobile ipad app should have all the functions as the desktop app.

Prosumer vs Professional. Despite “Pro” being in the name, if it was meant for the “for hire” market it would cost 2-3 times as much (ie SnapOn, Festool, etc)

For content creators and casuals this new Rode system is the new market leader. It’s exactly what we’ve been looking for from Rode ever since DJI stole the market.

Aside from maybe making the transmitters being a little smaller and subduing the indicator LEDs, there’s absolutely no features or specs I’m left for want. It hits or exceeds every spec and feature I would have asked for, and at $100 less than what I told Rode’s marketing outreach team 6 months ago.

Very nice review? I ordered the unit from B & H. After watch your review (thank you!) and a few others I’m starting to think even with the improvements maybe cancelling my RODE PRO order, get the DGI (is that it) unit instead and maybe wait for them to counter RODE. Looks like the time code is quite limited and with various software easily being able to match video audio seems a bit like RODE might not have been as fourth coming as I (maybe others) would have liked. Your thoughts if you would please. Thank you.

A very intriguing audio kit, I’m tempted to order. I was already getting ready to order DR10L Pro, and then RODE dropped the news. One thing I’ve noticed on their website, is that you may also use the receiver as a third “narrator” recorder if you pair it with a lav mic - this makes me wonder if you could plug in a shotgun or stereo mic and have secondary ambient track. Can’t wait for hands-on reviews to start rolling in.

How many pieces do you need to get timecode for the DR-10L Pro? I thought it was just the Tascam and an Ultrasync One?

Hey silly question I am sure...but if I am transmitting to the camera, can I still choose to use the internal 32 bit float recording for the entire recording? I know that the backup file is used when the signal is dropped but am I correct in thinking I can always just use the 32 bit float recording, even when transmitting to the camera (assuming I press record on the tx)? Someone help me out!
