when people do these range test, they are always walking in a random empty field, nobody acutally uses the mics like that, you have to go into a place where a lot of cellphones and wifi are, to see how good it holds a connections

Hey bro, at 01:14, you mentioned that the charging case of Rode is more rugged and better-looking. That's clearly a mistake. I've been using the DJI Mic for a long time, and the stainless steel casing has always been very sturdy. Especially with the release of the DJI Mic 2, its aluminum alloy casing is even more rugged, and it now has an additional locking mechanism. In terms of design, I've always loved DJI's aesthetic design, especially the translucent emitter, which looks absolutely cool.

Top-notch color grading. Colorful, lifelike, natural but punchy. Just like how I like to grade - but you did even better!

I guess for an iPhone the dji is better since the receiver hooks up directly to it without an annoying dangling cable and attached receiver which is impossible to hold? I have the rode mic 2 kit and could never use it because it’s too cumbersome so I’m hoping the dji receiver would be filming friendly with an iPhone

This is the best audio recording option for so many uses !
The software that keeps the audio levels stable with shouting etc… amazing!
I want this

They truly put the word Pro to good use. This is incredible. Rode is the GOAT of wireless microphones.

After so much disappointment with the previous Rode set, I will stay with my DJI Mic set for now. I am happy to see Rode realized they needed to improve to compete.

6:17 according to the Røde website, the internal mic can handle 123.5 db SPL (1kHz @ 1M). That’s high for a mic like this, but not incredibly high, compared to a Shure SM58 (150 dB SPL @ 100 Hz, 10 dB SPL @ 1 kHz, both at 1” from mic), but probably good enough if you’re not holding it close to your mouth in the way that you would while singing. Even with 32-bit recording, and the crazy dynamic range that allows, the physical limits of the mic capsule still apply. So, while yelling into the mic might distort within the capsule, nothing is going to be so loud as to clip within the recorder itself.

It Needs this improvement soon: The Rode Mobile ipad app should have all the functions as the desktop app.

I have the DJI microphones and they were great for me because I record everything on my iPhone and these ones I don’t know if you can plug them directly into an iPhone but DJI has the adaptor where you can plug it right into the iPhones which is great

Receiver is lacking headphone port. Funny that Rode includes timecode connection for the camera but there is no way to monitor the audio during use of the timecode, camera operator will just have to wait for the playback, since timecode is already a lot of convenience better not include too much or it might make sense.

Can you transmit to the receiver and record inside the transmitters at the same time as a backup?

You said you can’t monitor sound with headphones while recording auto into the camera. What if the receiver is plugged into phone via the usb port, freeing the headphone port to monitor?

Excellent vid. The Rode sound fuller and more expensive. Glad I waited as I wasn't totally sold on the dji mic.

looks great. I'm pretty happy with my dji, but if I didn't buy dji it would be a great mic for me

I own both the old rode and dji set and I really want te float audio! With motovlogging that would be a gamechanger :O
Wonder how this new rode would connect to the DJI actioncameras like action 3 and 4. Do I need to use the 3.5mm jack or does the usb C work directly?

I am expecting the new Rode Wireless Pro's today (Sep 2) and I like some of the new features. Before you get too excited, I still use the DJI mics and there is nothing wrong with the case. It's still a more compact, neat package that stores the units perfectly. I have NEVER had a problem with the lid of the charging case coming open. I do secure it in a Think Tank roller case and it's a tidy set up. With that said, I am looking forward to finally having a setup that has the lockdown mics and 32 bit float.
