If you really wanna compare with other G7 countries, the household debt in Canada is the highest of any G7 country according to BBC. The amount owed by Canadians households is higher than Canada’s entire GDP.

All I can say is to stop comparing Canada to the G7. The G7 is in debt, period. There are countries outside the G7 that are thriving economically. The G7 is not the end all be all. I'm not going to be convinced to be in debt more, and encourage spending by this. yes Trudeau, continue to make our lives harder, I like stressing out over bills.

Ugghh ... again.... We don't have the lowest debt/gdp in the G7. We have to consider *gross debt* to gdp to compare nations. We do not have the lowest *gross debt* to gdp. IMF data. The claim is based on federal debt to gdp. Hello?! We also have substantial provincial debt. Hence *gross debt*. The economy has to support all the public debt.
