Imagitarium frameless 6.8 gallon Filtration fix!

I removed the internal filtration. On the imagitarium 6.8.

I know this is old, but I just dropped and broke the glass top to which there is no replacement. I need a new tank I guess. I really liked the look of this tank, but like you said, it doesn't function properly. Great job!

Aquaclear to the rescue. . .these filters a the only one to have. Those back built in systems are
not effective at all for me.
I use five Aquaclears so far. Tried them all, this clears up the mess within minutes. Stick a round pre filter sponge on the intake and your good to go.
Easy to modify chamber and cheap to maintain. Easy removal media chamber. . just squeeze
together the and pull up. Love these.

I want to like the canister (eheim) and get tempted to purchase again, but I know what works for me.

Was is difficult to tear out that back part? I’m just wondering because I want to do that with mine but I’m concerned that I might break it

Its much more cost efficient and powerful to upgrade the filter pump on the original setup. It houses more filtration than any of these tiny hang on back filters. If you wanted a tank without the in back filtration there are tanks that are cheaper without it! More expensive reef style Nano cubes have in tank filtration very similar to the stock one this came with. Just learn to use your filter correctly people.

Thank you for this information! I just got my Imagitarium and it didn’t even have the tube for the pump or any filter cartridges. What’s the name of the new hang on the back filter you are using?
