InPresence 0113: Telepathic Hypnotic Suggestion

InPresence host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). For many years he served as president of the non-profit Intuition Network, an organization dedicated to creating a world in which all people were supported and encouraged in developing inner intuitive abilities.

Here he reviews the conflicts between parapsychology researchers and psychic/esoteric/occult practitioners. Then he explores the history of research and thinking in the area of telepathic hypnotic induction. He points out that the "telepathic transmissions" to which he has referred in previous InPresence segments do not involve hypnotic suggestions. Rather they are energetic and, perhaps, emotional in nature. He refers to his own experience being trained by Ted Owens, The PK Man.

He explored consciousness with Bob Monroe and is currently crowd funding physics projects that will prove virtual reality. I'm listening to these "In Presence" talks randomly. This may not the best method other than some are quite synchronistic with just prior circumstances in my life. Considering the objective: transitioning, waking,  from the demanding egoist conscious state (there are other familiar states,  sleep, meditative, subconscious, hypnotic). Regardless, the next higher conscious state we are trying to ascend to requires collaboration, coherence, with other like sentient beings without which there is no extension thus ascension. Its not easy to physically connect with similar others - so many are distracted with family, demanding jobs, etc.,  or find it strange or not possible. But its probably not necessary either. For, this next higher state transcends space and time. Jeff, thank you for connecting us here.

So if Jeff is wondering what I am picking up with this work I'll put my two cents in. For me I take the time to listen to him at night time when I am finishing my marking for my class or relaxing with a puzzle/game after my wife and daughter have gone to bed. My mind is usually relaxing and absorbing your ideas in an open state. And I can listen to my fringe aspects of my soul more carefully/honestly. And before I go to sleep, I mediate for about 10 mins and reflect on whatever comes to me in the silence of the space. In my waking life, I have become more engaged in the world and see myself as a co-creator with the rest of it. I have more psychological tools at my disposal now thanks to Jeff and this show. So my decision making is faster and more accurate (mostly but sometimes I have my Homer Simpson moments too) and I am able to practice my skills in the classroom with my students. They learn their Trigonometry and Calculus and I get to learn how to be a better communicator, pedagogue, and innovator through direct gnosis. For me this show is great "pro-d" for my work and connecting with youth, parents, bosses, and my family. Of course living in Vancouver Canada helps as this city is quite progressive so people can use this language more openly without fear of ridicule. So I pay attention to this channel because I have seen my growth because of it. This channel is cycles within my top three and will stay there for a very long time I should hope.

In NLP terms the technique of telergy or telepathic hypnosis is a A>V>K strategy one verbally
(whether out loud or internal dialogue) suggests the behavior, then visualizes them doing it & lastly feels them doing it, not strictly sequentially, but with a degree of overlap.

I loved this episode because I can relate to the notion of hypnotic suggestion and telekinesis directly. I teach a telekinesis class, and hypnotic suggestion is a big part of it in order to bring the students into the proper state to produce movement at a distance. When their bodies and minds are relaxed in just the right way, they end up doing amazing things in under 2 hours - things that took me over a year to develop in myself. I also loved this episode because Jeffrey does project a wonderful sense of joy and inquisitiveness, a blessing indeed!
