_Hi, is the tip of the tongue under and a bit behind of the alveolar ridge (obviously, not touching anything, just being there)? I have this question because other teachers say 'native English speakers don't make the ɹ by placing the tip the tongue there'._

shouldn't the tip almost touch the upper surface of the mouth? You somehow learned to physically pronounce it like brits while sound american

Some people say the side of the tongue touches the upper gumridge, some say the tip of the tongue touches slightly the upper alveolar part, even natives can't figure out exactly what they're doing 😂

Many thanks for your efforts my English favorite teacher, that sound is the most difficult for me, especially in British accent, the second most difficult sound for me is t 😭😭😭😭
American people pronounce it in a very strange way

How do you say "proper"? I keep saying "pooper" If i follow that tip. R kind of sounds like "ooo" out there i guess. I have no idea.

English is my first language but the r sound has always been really hard and even after speech therapy this is the only thing that helped thank you

You are the best. Most of them say to curl our tongue up which it is ridiculous
