Yes to taking notes! We recently hired a new employee. When it was my turn to train, I cringed at the fact that the employee showed up with nothing. During my training sessions, I always kept a notepad handy. Afterward, I would return to my office to revise my notes and do the extras like highlighting.

I think the email would be enough, too - and I’d probably add like a gif of a sparkly box of donuts 🍩 ✨. I agree, even a $5 starbucks credit would make me uncomfortable to receive as a co-worker so soon. Great video!

Send a funny or wholesome video to boost office morale on the Friday morning of your first week. I used to send my coworkers “Friday funnies” to get psyched up for the weekend. I think it’s a great alternative to donuts

Hi @Cassandra! Regarding your question about what to "bring" as a thank you (virtually). I've thought of possibly paying a delivery service to deliver coffee or bagels, or maybe pizza for lunch. Not really sure. Still thinking about it.

I think if a company has a Friday End of Week huddle where it's more of a casual virtual meet-up for the whole office, maybe hosting a game would be the equivalent of bringing donuts to the office? It's a pleasant gesture but it's also fun and a good opportunity for bonding
