I am one of those people who can listen to something & remember 95% of it. But when I got my first sales job I went out of my way to write down tons of notes despite the fact that I didn't necessarily need them to remember. It made a very good impression with my managers & they brought it up to me after I had worked there for a year & said they knew I was going to be a great employee because I took so many notes when I started. I had them fooled but I was still a great employee!

I am not always a people pleaser but I think first impressions are very important, especially in sales. Sometimes we need to do things for other people, not just ourselves. That is what working as a team is all about.

I just got a SECOND interview with the GM thanks to yuour advice! THANK YOU! I asked the "hard" quastion and the interviewer didn't even flinch. She scheduled the next interview on the spot! It's on a Sunday which is wierd, but it's still a second interview.
