Great job drew
What I love about your list is u didn’t pick your most expensive or biggest key comics
You picked the comics that u love and that have a special meaning to u
That’s what is great about comics
Not that they are worth so much money but that they give u personal pleasure
Those books never lose value to the person who owns them
Such a small world
I went to high school and have been friends with Dale Roberts for years
Talk about someone who gets out and beats the bushes for books
That’s why he had so many great books
He’s a great guy and a fair person when it comes to buying and selling
Once again love the channel and love the list I also have that detective 142 and it’s such a cool book that u never see
Keep up the great work

The cover of that _Crypt of Terror_ 17 is so perfect.

We've got the discarded newspaper with the headline screaming "WEREWOLF STRIKES AGAIN;" the woman (Is she a prostitute? Party girl? Worker who's going home after a day at the office?) looking off to the side as if she heard something; a stray cat messing with some morsel of food (Is that what the woman heard?); garbage piled up (clearly this is not the swankest part of town); and back in the alley -- the werewolf, just about to launch himself around the corner of that building. Plus, the road-level perspective and streetlight spotlighting Craig uses are brilliant.

I'd slap down my dime so fast, FDR would get whiplash.

Those Crypt Keepers look like a good read, the show was good u knew it was going to a fun entertaining night whenever The Crypt Keeper popped up on TV.

It's funny because as a child collector in the 80's and 90's, I just assumed there were 100s of Golden Age Batman comics with the main villains like Joker, Two Face, Riddler etc. It wasn't until recently that I decided I wanted to purchase a couple of GA Joker comics and saw that my choices were actually quite limited. I first started with Joker appearances. Then I filtered down to appearances on the cover (so Batman #1 was eliminated). Then filtered further to prominent cover appearances and felt like there were only a half dozen or so to choose from. I ended up with Detective Comics 128 and Batman 55. Both drawn by the great Dick Sprang (love his name) and featuring what I refer to as "Big Head Joker" covers. As an added incentive they both have the classic yellow backgrounds with red accents that I just automatically am drawn to. I'm still amazed that Riddler only had two GA appearances. Money aside, I guess it makes it easier to complete a collection with so few appearances. Great slabs btw.

Cool books! I loved seeing books that aren’t the typical “Top” books that most people show off. These were a nice selection that represent you.

I was very interested in this video considering the collection I'd imagine you have....

Nice Sabrina book, I'm a little younger than you but Melissa Joan Hart definitely helped me grow up in the 90s haha.

Nice picks Drew. As a fellow gold/silver collector it's so refreshing to NOT see the same tired old Marvel keys regurgitated ad nauseum. Nothing against Marvel collectors if that's your thing; I always say collect what you enjoy. Most folks would probably just shake their heads at my silly collection of Silver-age Charlton horror and romance books. Nevertheless, the world of comics is soooo much more diverse than simply X-Men, Avengers and FF-related titles. There's also more to enjoy in this hobby than just speccing on movie/TV tie-ins driven by the recommendations of some app. In the end, most of them don't pan out for the long run.
The issue of Mad House is particularly nice to see, and I'm also a Johnny Craig fan too, BTW.

Hey Drew,

The ASM is such a great book, for so many reasons. It's got such an emotional arc. How many times has Spider Man (and every other hero) saved the day? The fact that he almost did -- but didn't -- is gut wrenching. Marvel really messed it up when they did the 1st "What If Gwen Stacey lived?"

Separate question: how big is your personal collection? Thanks for always providing such good cmic content for us to watch together!

Nice. Ever thought of re-submitting your Crypt of Terror #17, to remove the restoration done to the comicbook to receive an honest decent grade to what it should be to it's originality it once was before?

Very in depth, thorough and knowledgeable back story review of some of your top 5 comicbook picks especially on the Crypt of Terror comicbook.

Nice review.

Hey, by the way, green goblin is my favorite villain of all and I just picked up amazing Spider-Man 14 8.0 about a year ago. I would love to pick up 9.4 or 9.6 but I have no income anymore I don’t work I was a bartender I would have to sell one of my big books

I assume the creators back in the day didn't know the eventual popularity that Batman's Rogues Gallery would be. Also when Batman sent the villians to jail. They probably figured the needed to rest the character for awhile. Probably with the Riddler, they just lost track of him.
