Former president Donald Trump has vowed “revenge” over his criminal conviction as he promises to get his old job back.

In his first interview since his guilty verdict in his hush money trial, the Republican presidential candidate said he would be okay with doing jail time.

The former president awaits sentencing on July 11.

Here in Australia, you'd have to be proven beyond reasonable doubt to not only have de-frauded the tax office, but done it deliberately and systematically to even be considered for a gaol sentence. Had Trump been an ordinary citizen in Australia, it would never have gone to court. The ATO would simply have asked them to amend their previous tax return and pay what is owing.
