Although I strongly disagree with Trump and his rhetoric, unlike him, we on the left recognize when we’ve been defeated. However, the fight isn’t over, and we will continue to advocate for the values we believe in for this country. One candidate won’t change that. My hope is that critical rights—such as those for women, the LGBTQ+ community, and access to healthcare programs like Obamacare, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security—will endure through this presidency, along with the well-being of anyone he may choose to oppose.
