Glad to see there is a general consensus that this isn’t a win but cheating. Glad to know ppl see thru the BS and know what the facts are.

I’m trans and I still think this is BS.

I know that hormone replacement has a huge impact on muscle mass too. But someone like Lia Thomas still has a size and skeletal structure that is not female typical.

I respect trans people and think we deserve all the dignity and kindnesses that there are, but I also understand that life has trade-offs, and in the case of people who transition, giving up competitive sports is something that we should be okay with.

Not only is this unfair to the other athletes in the competition, but also it gives trans people a bad name and creates more transphobia..

Whoever got second place is the real winner.

I'm looking forward to identifying as a 9 year old girl and totally dominating Tee ball this year

I consider myself very progressive. I’m all for trans rights as long as no one else is negatively affected by decisions of another, this isn’t one of those cases. A blatant unfair advantage. I support trans people being themselves, but there are just some things that the trans community will have to sacrifice in fairness, including gender specific sports.

You'll never see a female to male trans athlete break any records or win any championship titles.

What a disgusting disgrace this is allowed to happen. I also wish the athletes, the young women representing the best of us, wouldn't have clapped in agreement when they announced his first place steal. Very sad. I definitely commend those that didn't. Very strong and brave women. Well done.

As a former athlete and someone who loves and encourages fair competition and Fair-play. In my opinion no one calling themselves an athlete would be proud of this victory.
I saw an Asian boxer who could’ve destroyed his inexperienced opponent but he did not because of Fairplay. I saw the Olympics where Roy Jones Junior was robbed of his gold medal in Seoul Korea.

The Korean boxer lifted Roy’s arms up to acknowledge his victory Even before it was revealed cheating had occurred. These are the actions of true athletes that display integrity in sports. Sorry Lia Thomas is not one of them.

These news stations are all at fault. You even continue to call him "her" assuring everyone it is normal. You people are insane.

And now FINA just finished this dude’s swimming career. They made it next to impossible for trans-creatures to compete and rightfully so.

When you're wondering why other countries are looking at us like "what the f' are they doing?"... This is a great example why.

Everybody, including Lia Thomas, knows that this is wrong.

I feel awful for the young women who have put in 1000's of hours of hard training, only to have this male come in at the last minute at steal their place.

Without a doubt he has a huge physical advantage. The Woman rights movement should protest this as it is hurting young females.
