Spanish speaker here, I think as you mentioned, bringing in your English speaking audience to the Spanish channel is doing really bad for your watch time, even with this video, a lot of people will go over and do the exact thing you mentioned, watch the first 5-10 seconds of a video and click off. It might be worth a short to simply start another Spanish channel and never mentioning it to your core English speaking audience. The videos are already done so you don't really lose anything in trying, and who knows, maybe the algorithm serves it exclusively to Spanish speakers and the channel takes off!

this is honestly so interesting, i feel like that parent mess up may have really affected the geography videos performance, but we’ll never know if that was exactly the cause - and i love seeing actual spanish comments, hopefully the new audience stays around!!!
