I am a Doctor Who fan, but something that annoys me is the so called other 'fans' of the show. All they do is pick, complain, 'Moffat this, Clara that'. If you hate it so much, stop watching and find another show. Stop comparing this to the classic series and just appreciate the show is still running.
Anyway, looking forward to the Christmas special.

Wow i must b the odd one out. I loved this season of the doctor. I think he has shown personal growth AND i love Clara. She comes across as a genuine person to me. Of course, that being said, for me no one holds a candle to Donna Noble!

Seriously, what the hell is up with the Clara hate? She's a LOT better now than she was in that garbage atrocity of a series that was Series 7. Remind me again, what character or personality did she even have in Series 7? Oh yeah, that's right....none.

If Clara leaves (and honestly I really hope she doesn't because she's got a lot more character in S8 and works very well with Capaldi), let's make the next companion a male. Capaldi with a male companion would just be amazing!

First Christmas Special that has looked good for a while

I have found with Christmas specials that most of the RTD era ones were episodes that just happened to be at Christmas (save the Christmas Invasion possibly), and they were re-written to accommodate festive themes. The Moffat era ones are much more Christmas-y. A Christmas Carol and The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe were magical; The Snowmen was scary and The Time of the Doctor was ominous. This looks to be one of those 'I'm behind you' episodes.

I've had a funny thought : it seems to me Christmas is the only night a year that you wouldn't expect to see Santa Claus in the North Pole.
