Tip for villager hunting: don’t always bring a ladder, it spawns the flat islands so you don’t need to keep climbing the cliffs it saves a lot of time

Oh, that's where I'm going wrong. It would be easier if they would let us buy NMTs in bulk! (even with using my controller's turbo button, it takes a long time to gain hundreds of tickets).

There’s a one in 805 chance because it’s as if some characters have more chances than others! Think of it like the Hunger Games. Gale’s name was in the drawing like 40 times. Prim’s was in only once. Even though they’re each only 1 character, the fraction isn’t based on how many individual children live in the district, it’s based on how many names are in there. So even though there aren’t 805 animal crossing villagers, think of those extra chances as being taken up by animals more likely to be drawn, like one of the octopi.

The meta is to get all 3 octopi, so that you can’t get the octopus roll anymore, and then load your island with all the cats (or any other species you want) you can find until you have 1 house remaining. This maximizes your odds of finding that one villager you want.

When I was going to an island actually to find resources and my plot is open at the time. I found Sherb out of nowhere and he's one of my dreamie villagers in the list. Yes, that one time I was looking to find materials, he showed up with zero expectations. That's why I love island hopping cause you'll never know what's coming.

Also congrats Kora on finding Merry for so long haha. It was a fun journey finding her for so long. 😅
