Deoxys is a Victim of the Kalos War

Deoxys is an elusive Pokemon. But within its mystery lies a tragedy, as its origins stem from the man who ended the Great Kalos War, AZ. Using the Ultimate Weapon, AZ unknowingly created a wave of devastation that had expanded beyond the battlefield, beyond Kalos, beyond the Earth itself, and into the stars. Amongst the victims of AZ’s rage, there was a Minior whose life changed forever as its body mutated into what we know today as Deoxys. Minior, the Sun/Moon Meteor Pokemon, is Deoxys.

Join us as we uncover the tragic origins of Deoxys and reveal why it holds malice against both the Earth and its Sky-High Protector, Rayquaza.

Another interesting piece of evidence. When Pokémon mega evolve they gain 100 points to their bst. Minior has 500 bst in its core form. Deoxys has 600.

see i've always liked the idea of deoxys being pokerus, but that makes sense

Alternative theory, Deoxys is actually NOT the only DNA Pokémon. After all, it shares a striking number of similarities with Kyurem. Form changing, four tendrils (as shown when it’s wings break), and the legend that it actually arrived on earth in a meteor (resulting in Giant Chasm). Plus their supposes bloodlust for the earth and powerful dragons.

Funfact: Deoxys is a play on word for "Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid or DNA."

I would imagine that if Gamefreak thought that far ahead upon making Deoxys, the shiny would have a black core to further tie into Minior's lore. At least purple is a really close equivalent compared to the other Minior colors though. There was even a point where the core on shiny Deoxys sprites (gen 5 specifically) looked more indigo than purple but later sprites steered away from that design.

This feels very speculative, but there are a few interesting coincidences that make this very plausible. We need more information. I would truly love to see a deeper dive from pokemon into what Deoxys actually is, where it came from, maybe even give it a mega form. Cannot wait for ZA this year ❤
