Travel on this solo cross-country road trip with me as I drive from Washington to Florida. There are big views and much excitement about sleeping in my car, aka my Toyota Yaris micro camper, and escaping the Pacific Northwest weather!

This video used such basic videography in a way that it was fantastic! it just felt so raw and natural. Using the flashlight to light up things at night for the camera and stuff just made it feel really personal. I love seeing other people who solo travel like myself. Rare to see young solo travelers. This was great!

In a few weeks, I'm driving from Nevada to Florida. This video gave me an idea on what to expect on the road. Thanks!

Hey there. I loved your journey. I too drove long distance last year from Miami to San Francisco and then back to Miami.I wish I was able to sleep in my car, I am 6’1” and have a civic lol. My favorite stop area was between Arizona and New Mexico. The sunrise and sunsets were amazing as you know. Safe travels road warrior!

Glad to hear that Truck Stops are safe to sleep at. Definitely the type of info I was looking for.

Thank you for the info on Flying J. I got my windows tinted, but I will invest in window shades.

As the owner of a 2010 Yaris hatchback, it inspires to see you doing the solo trip, I am looking forward to going on a shorter trip myself, but I want to avoid the interstates and discover more of this great land.

Great video!! I’m trying to get prepared for my solo trip from Cleveland to Portland, OR to go to school, but not until next Dec.2023/24. Taking my dog & 2 cats in my Yaris hatchback!! I may have to send some things ahead! I’m old enough to be your Mom/s but doing this thing. I’m pretty scared! I’m most scared of a breakdown, but the Yaris is pretty reliable & great on gas, as you know. Really enjoyed your trip! 🙋‍♀️

The smile on your face when laying down for the first night was so wholesome lol you can tell you were just so proud of yourself and probably felt accomplished and giddy about the feeling of being a true traveler 😆

Thank you for your video! It’s really well done and it was fun to be along on your trip :). I love how you were able to mix independent adventure with reaching out and meeting up with friends along the way. I’m getting ready to do a solo road trip, so it’s helpful to see other’s experiences. Thanks again!

Josh Garrels' song Father Along is my favorite. Great vid! Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking of making the drive from Boston to Cali, and came across your vid to get an idea. God Bless.

A wonderful trip and an interesting adventure, the weather is beautiful, the montage is good, and the photography is in high definition. One of my favorite hobbies is to travel in a car on my own, The best of all is your beautiful smile 😊

Hip stretching will help! Try 90-90 stretch, keyword internal hip rotation.

Very nice video and I sub'ed and liked and look forward to seeing more! I like that you capture the correct idea that this kind of a journey can be done as cheaply/efficiently as possible by sleeping in the car BUT also leveraging hotels, staying with friends, etc. when certain factors warrant it or such opportunities arise. It is not about stubbornly camping in the car all the time just for the sake of doing it - it's about traveling and enjoying the journey by using car camping to make it more convenient and enjoyable and then using the hospitality of others and the occasional convenience of a hotel (which may have a higher cost but also has a higher value). Good for you! I hope you keep traveling and enjoying and I look forward to watching more of your videos to catch up with your journeys!!! :)

1st time across the US, hitched hiked (summer after sophomore year of college). Mid-Atlantic to SF, returned via LA to MD. Latest road trip is to NV (bought property) via car. Slept at Love's and other places along the way, more for the adventure & to get quick early morning starts.
