When I slept in my car for a year after the Marines, I used a military sleeping bag. Get any bag that is rated to the temperature you expect it to drop to and you'll be fine.

keep a good set of jumper cables, get a battery jumper/air compressor combo and at least a 700 watt keep 3 good sleeping bags and a gallon of drinking water in the car at all times. make sure you leave the showers at the gym or similar clean ... clean up after others... no matter what... leave it clean.
