In this video, we’ll head to Guengat, where our friend will show us around his farm. Johan has been farming for around four years, and in that time, he has transformed what was essentially an empty field into a thriving piece of farmland (which has been certified organic).

His work focuses on two workshops; the nursery where he grows and sells unique medicinal, herbal, and edible plants and flowers, and the fruit patch and orchard, where he grows many varieties of fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, kiwis, and grapes.

He also has a number of animals and we’ll learn how these rescues help Johan in his farming work!

What a wonderful video! He sure is living the dream. Thank you for sharing this and good luck with the farm! I hope you return in a few years to show the updated fruit trees :)

thank you for this video Sophie! I'll be moving to south of France next year and I've basically become an ethical vegan - because in Czech republic not many farmers treat their animals with respect, especially dairy cows=( Do you know if the situation is different in France? Is it possible to find ethical farmers who make small batches of dairy products (and treat the mom cows with kindness)? And if so, would you be able to advise on how to find them? Thank you so much♥
