How to Use Masking in DaVinci Resolve

This tutorial will show you how to apply a mask to a track for a video in DaVinci Resolve 18, to reduce the opacity for the whole video or just a section of it if you want to show a portion of the video on the layer under it.

When I do this it ends up masking out every clip on every layer and I end up with black. It doesn't mask just the clip I'm working on. It's kind of a useless tool when it does that. I want to be able to see what's behind the mask.
