S&G lock misaligned, won't lock

Sargent and Greenleaf direct drive electronic digital combination lock. If you have changed the battery and find the lock now opens without entering the code, then this is probably the cause. Misaligned dial ring to spindle drive plate. Remember to test opening and closing several times with the door ajar ie safe door open position but handle turned to lock boltwork before you actually shut the door.

Not sure whats up with my safe, but no matter what code I input after I press the hashtag it beeps once as if it accepts anything, and the knob won't respond as in be able to turn open, so it stuck in a "locked state" while the safe door is open, changed the battery, did the alignment, nothing helps, and their support are not providing me with the factory reset instructions, very frustrating. Thanks for the video tho, it was very helpful regardless.
