we all had a teacher like this on a mad power trip.

I had such a teacher. She had once worked in the school where my father had worked and was transferred to my school after a mental breakdown… She would normally sneak into class, stand there for a couple of minutes shaking. Then starting to talk and most of it was nonsense… Then in the break she would go and sit in her car.
Back then we found her hilarious.
Now I feel sooo sorry for that poor woman…

I love how the forthcoming school trip is to the moon and how the “bring and buy sale raised over £36 million pounds” to emphasise it’s a private school. I miss those days when we only had to worry about our homework

He must have modelled this character on a teacher we had at my prep school in the 1970s, he threw out work books in exactly the same way, we thought it was hilarious. If you managed to catch it he would congratulate you or make some cricketing reference.

David Sedaris, American writer, decided to take french class in Paris. In his book "Me talk pretty one day" he describes the lessons of his totally weird teacher ( a woman who sticks sharp pencils in eyes of pupils... ) Hilarious.
