World's 1st Manual C8 Corvette Drift Car - Slicing & Dicing Into A Bare C8 Corvette Chassis! - Ep. 3

Alec and I made some big progress right away as we begun tearing into this car. With a lot of the clean up and easy stuff removed, it's time to start removing all of the major components so that we can get this down to a bare chassis. Let the slicing and dicing begin!

So excited to start seeing all the modifications on this thing and can't wait to see it done! The fact that it was a flood car was the best donor for building a drift car. Just a lot of cleaning and throwing away a lot of the stuff you weren't going to use anyway!

I would think Any lambo gallardo grazziano type manual transmission should fit back there with the c8 having that trunk area. It’s what I would try anyway or maybe ford GT but I know those are more expensive. Those grazzy trans axles get used for slc kit cars a lot I know they sell them still.

As far as a trans Mendeola makes a 4 spd sequential mid engine high horsepower transaxle.

That panel bond adhesive is tough stuff. 3m makes some strong stuff not sure if that's what brand the c8 uses. Some modern adhesives are just as strong as welds and even used in some high end racecars.
