a140e is an uderrated 4 spd auto. these things when upgraded properly have lightening fast/smooth powershifts like a muncie manual!

That shouldn't be the problem cus there was an almost equal amount of movement during shifting. I think you should check your camshaft position sensor. It causes jerking in first and second gear when faulty.

My Avalon has bad mounts, and it shifts hard sometimes so I wonder if this is why.

I had the same thing with the camry 2011and the mechanic change all the mounts. Now the car is vibrating always, especially when you put tranny on Drive or Reverse. Went to him again and he told me its gonna be a while like this bc the mounts are new and needs some time adaption, now has been 3 months and the same.Any ideas?

Yes park to reverse and first to second when parked. The clunking started right after changing plugs, wires and coils, don't think it's the tranny mount but will check.

Did changing the torque mount help with the shifting clunk?

I have a 2012 Toyota Camry that has a stutter problem when accelerating. When we got the car, we got the spark plugs changed, the problem stopped. I drove it Saturday for the first time ad the stuttering happened about 4 times maybe. I dont believe there is a specific gear it stutters on... So What else could possibly be causing the stutter?

the bolt attached to the frame/the higher bolt wont come out no matter what i do, any suggestions? tried heating it, penetrating oil, nothing

By the sounds of that motor, the mount is the least of your troubles 😅

Your understanding of hard shifting is wrong. Hard shifting means the transmission is shifting hard when you accelerate the car.

Should I change all mounts when I need only one mount? Is it OK? Change only one mount.

Changed all mounts now when i start driving go up to 10mph it slows down n kicks back only does it when accelerating from complete stop less now with chsnged mounts

The motor mount sound like the least of that engines issues. Check that pan for bearings🤣 its the worst sounding camry ive ever heard

What's that loud metally sound? I have the same sound. Sounds like a loose manifold shield but I can't find the source of mine.
