Swimming on your period

I'm SOOOO SCARED for my period!
Wanna know why? I'm in the swim team. 1hr 30 minutes 4 times a week, and 2 hrs for a other day. So I swim for 5 times a week ;-;

it is against my religion for tampons and the cups. I have a heavy flow and have to swim tomorrow for class. Can i wear a pad and two pairs of shorts?

Okay guys so I was at my cousins house and they have a pool and I was planning to go In but my period said nope
I still got in with nothing but here’s what I did
Before getting in The water I went to the restroom to wipe myself completely good with a wipe (if you don’t have a wipe wet the toilet paper) so that way I made sure I had no blood
I wore black shorts try to wear dark shorts just in case and if u have a black towel or a dark color towel that will be perfect
Then I went straight Into the people because I didn’t want my period to start if I was taking forever to slowly get in the water so I recommend to just go straight in the water
I then started to swim I didnt leak or anything (my flow was not to heavy or to light either) I swam with my friends played games Marko polo and I didn’t leak
As a matter a fact my back pain went away just in case you do end up leaking splash the water around you and swim away (which there is a 1 percent chance u will leak)
When getting out the pool I put my towel and changed immediately because ur flow will start again like after 3min when getting out the pool
But girl go swim u will be fine don’t let ur period stop u

What happens if I don’t own a cup or have any access to tampons I want to go in the ocean, but I have light flow would that effect anything?

my problem is tomorrow I'm going to a water park where I won't be underwater a whole lot, just getting it poured and splashed on me, so will a tampon work?

With the playtex sport pads can you use it while swimming I did a water test and it handled 20 1tps of water and had no leaking and it was still sticky
