I have installed OpenVPN on a Rasbery pi previously, is there a way to Chage the dns server. Modify a config file or something? Maybe change other options? thank you.

This was perfect i'm an absolute novice at pi and VPN but this worked perfectly. I do have a concern that I have an open port 1194 but might be looking at this completely wrong, i thought the whole point to a VPN is to not have port forward to the internet?

Hi! Thx, this is really an easy guide, i have only one question: what do i need to configure so i can reach from outside after successfully connecting with openvpn to access my internal netwrok. Laptop+hotspot+openvpn -> reach my NAS in my local network. Cant ping nas, router/gateway, but connection is successfull.

Thank you for such content! I've been successful with using the PiVPN installer to raspberry pi. My issue comes after importing the .ovpn file into the client and connecting to the VPN. Not able to connect to it. Neither from my laptop or mobile. Thanks!

I would like to access both networks via the same network.. Example: from work I would like to access to device on my home network.

Hey bro im on my local network trying to connect my windows 10 pc with open vpn connect and my profile I made on the raspberry pi. it imports successfully and when i try to connect it seems to just not connect at all and im not sure whats going on. The pi is turned on and i setup openvpn via pivpn also successfully setup port forward. I am using my public ip address and i am thinking this maybe the issue? OpenVPN connect on windows 10 cant seem to connect, its weird as i have had this running on a different network before but this time around its not workin. Any ideas?

I'm having an issue... I can't even do step 1. When I use the curl command it tells me it couldn't connect to server. I tried pinging a website since a Reddit post said it could be a DNS problem. but I receive all packets. any ideas what it could be?

Speaking as a total newb: This is by no means "easy"! what is the DNS mentioned? maybe should have started the video with, you will already need to have.... I do appreciate the time you invested, but its frustrating to waste 20 min following something i dont understand then realize I have to watch like 6 videos prior to. So easy might be a stretch.
