ok, so you are saying openvpn keeps crashing, at 8:36 in this video, but then u mentioned mac OS, im a bit confused, use open vpn or not. so install openvpn in raspberry pi, and use another vpn tool in mac? is that my understanding... or dont use open vpn in raspberry pi?


I also wanted to confirm what this actually does, so if I create a raspberry pi, with open vpn, send it to the motherland (in this case Vzla) the raspberry pi in theory can just be plugged in and crontab will update dynu, and i can in theory VPN to the network in venezuela?


im asking because their country is in shambles and wont let citizens living overseas make bank transfers etc.

When I type pivpn add in the terminal on the rasberry pi (running rasbian) I only have to type in the name and it spits out a .conf file. When I transfer this file to my windows machine that is to connect to the VPN it cant take the .conf file. I need the .ovpn file. How do I convert this? Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Great tutorials, they are so clear and understandable. If advantages or disadvantages to setting up Raspberry-pi w/ Docker including PiHole and OpenVpn? if so can you do a tutorial on that. I currently own a Pi 3+ and down the road looking to upgrade to the Pi 4. I need to remove OpenVPN from my unRaid server and place it on the Pi. Lost connection when I reboot my server on my current setup.
