My first day in Marrakech Morocco 🇲🇦
Morocco is a country that travels within you. And today, my journey begins.

00:00 Arriving in Marrakech: I touched down in Marrakech around 1 PM local time. Despite my flight from Paris being delayed due to severe weather conditions, I'm thrilled to finally be in this magnificent city.

00:22Arriving at Palais Tinmel Riad: My first stop was the stunning Riad Palais Tinmel, nestled in the old Medina.

00:36 Welcomed by Othman from the Riad, who greeted me and gave a detailed explanation of the old Medina map.
01:28Heading to Fenn Square: After settling into my room and taking a quick shower, I ventured out to explore the vibrant and bustling Fenn Square. It’s the most electrifying market I've ever seen, with snake charmer flutes, monkeys, Gnawa dancers, BBQ stands, and more!

01:55 Koutoubia Mosque: Strolling through the square, I arrived at the Koutoubia Mosque, a stunning example of Moroccan Islamic architecture with a fascinating connection to Spain. This mosque is the twin sister of the Giralda tower in Seville, which I visited a few years ago.

02:13 BBQ Stand in El-Fnaa Square: As hunger set in, I was drawn to a BBQ stand in Fenn Square. The aroma was irresistible! The sauce was incredibly hot, and I chuckled at being charged triple the price, but I was starving.

03:11 Barbary Fig Stand: I couldn't resist stopping by a Barbary fig stand, one of my favorite fruits.

03:35 Street Boxing Match: Continuing my stroll, I stumbled upon a street boxing match. The crowd was really into it, and I found it so cool!

03:46 Snake Charmers: Walking through the square, snake charmers were everywhere, offering to take pictures with snakes, including cobras. I decided to hold a snake and got some great pictures. They always have one non-venomous snake for tourists.

04:08 Rooftop Café and Sunset: Just before sunset, I headed to a rooftop café. You have to buy something to stay, so I got some tea and managed to capture an amazing sunset over El-Fnaa Square.

04:32 I felt exhausted with less than 3 hours of sleep so I ended my first day hoping to find my way to the Riad.

Stay tuned for more Morocco adventures......
