The snake charmer's instrument is called a ghaita and it's a wind instrument similar to an oboe. Not sure if you left Morocco already but if not, please go visit Essaouira at the seaside! I lived there for 3 months and it's gorgeous, a real mix of cultures. You can take a bus there, it takes around 2-3 hours.

Portugal has a lot of Arab influence, in its southern part of the country (south of Lisbon, especially Alentejo and Algarve), this influence is very visible in the architecture and tiles, as well as some words in Portuguese that are of Arab origin.

Hi Guys, I spent a week touring Morocco last year. I found Fes was very intense in the Medina with a lot more hustling.
Try and visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis - very interesting.
Highlight of my trip was the blue city of Chefchaouen - beautiful place.
Tangier is nice as well.

We loved Morocco! Travelled twice now! When in Marrakech a great restaurant near the Jemma El Fnaa market is the Clocks Cafe amazing Camel Burgers. If its still run the same way the employees are on a gov program with schooling where they work towards their education 👍. Very clean well run cafe! Hope you travel out to Merzouga too excellent sahara dunes camel rides! Great stay at toombuctou Hotel spelling might be off but its close!
