3 Simple and Natural Tips to Boost Your Ketones

We are in uncertain times and we don’t have the freedom that we’re used to these days, so this video is coming from my sanctuary - my garden. I’m incredibly blessed to live so close to the ocean and I don’t take it for granted for a second. The sound of the waves, the ocean breeze, the palms swaying and coconuts at my feet. These are the details that are so easily overlooked when we are busy and leading hectic lives, but right now we are experiencing the gift of time, and time is our greatest reminder of what we have and what we need to be thankful for.

In this video I’m going to talk about ketones. We have all heard this word and we use it as part of our keto lifestyle but do we really understand what it means and what it can do for our bodies?

Well, In this video blog I will be giving you 3 simple tips to activate and boost your ketones.

Why is this important? Ketones are chemicals made in your liver, usually as a metabolic response to being in dietary ketosis. That means you make ketones when you don’t have enough stored glucose (or sugar) to turn into energy. When your body senses that you need an alternative to sugar, it transforms fat into ketones. Ketones, also known as “ketone bodies,” are byproducts of the body breaking down fat for energy. This only happens when your carbohydrate intake is low, and your body switches into a state of ketosis.

Have enjoyed reading your book and thank you for the science. As a health coach the more we can assist those wishing to lose weight the better. The stress people put on themselves by way of the Four letter D word, counting calories, starving themselves, restricting their intake to so-called, packaged, read processed, health foods is enormous. All can be sorted by eating healthfully.

Naomi, have you watched Dr. Paul Mason on YouTube and the studies he cites on fiber? Wondering if you still promote a high fiber diet in light of this information. Also Dr. Anthony Chaffee has incredible information on our digestive system and how we are not made for fiber. Really fascinating!

Wait wait wait. When i was zero carb I had ketones daily between 2 and 3.5. When i have started to take carbs from veggies up to 20 grams daily my ketones levels went down to 1 maximum. So i do not understand why you said to take some carbs to have more ketones. It makes no sense to me.

I definitely agree on relaxing, it’s my understanding stress produces cortisol. I do have to disagree with you on the MTC, it’s definitely not natural. It’s highly processed. Thanks for the video.

Hi i want to stay in ketosis but i find it hard to balance. I can't figure out what i am missing, potassium, sodium or magnesium. Sometimes i feel dry to the point my lips get so dry. I started eating carbs(healthy) as i have a period, please help me what to do and also i have a hypothyroidism.
