My wife wants a sand sifting goby and I would love to know exactly what I need to do. We just got our first tank and it's not even wet yet. We got the max nano xxl from red sea

Solid recommendations. I’m obsessed with Midas Blennys.

That’s a really good selection Blaine to start off with. I’ve had my Midas blenny now for five years and love to watch him swim throughout the tank. He does have a couple of hiding spots and I like to see him poke his head out of his burrow-Darren

Always love seeing vids like this! And would definitely love to see one for intermediate fish, not enough lists like that out there ;)

Now, I'm not a saltwater fish keeper (yet...) but in my research, I'd say the top 3 beginner fish are common clowns, bangai cardianls, and yellow watchmon goby, with the addition of either a fire dartfish *or* a royal gramma (not both of them together in the same tank but these three to four fish seem to be a perfect combination for a beginner-proof community tank)

As a minor note I was pleasantly surprised to see hawkfish get listed! I've seen them recommended for beginners a few times but they just feel like such an unusual fish to me; so great to see

I'd like to know more about Lionfish! I find it crazy to think that they can live in salt and brackish to almost near freshwater based on a study done in Florida.

Choose 5 beginner fish and explain why.
