A pyramid is a 3-dimensional object having a polygon as its base and triangular surfaces converging at a single point called its apex. A pyramid derives its name from the shape of its base, i.e. a pyramid with a triangular base is called a triangular pyramid while a pyramid with a square base is called square pyramid, etc.

The volume of a pyramid is given by one-third the area of its base multiplied by its height (the distance between its base and the apex). While the total surface area of a pyramid is given by the sum of the areas of all the plane shapes making up the pyramid.

I think it's 584. It should be SA = 2bs + b^2. B = 14, S = square root of 193 = 13.89. Plug in and you get 2x14x13.89 + 196 = 584.92

ok so the right answer is 532. Heres how you do it. The base is 14 and you times 14x14 to get 196. then you do 14x4 since there is 4 sides on the pyramid and they all would be equal to 14 then your answer would be 56. then since the formula is Base + .5 x permiter of base and x slant height( thats the little thing with the line going up but assuming that everyone watching this is in 7th grade and up you should know this.). you would then move the .5 to the end of the equation then you would do. 196+56x12x.5 but don't forget order of operation or PEMDAS. and you would then get 532. (I'm in 7th grade and please comment on this if i got it wrong i hope this helped and if you want ill make a video explaining it better.) I had trouble on this to so i understand where you guys are coming from. If i am wrong this is how i was taught so the answer could be off but the process is correct or more easy than this one this teacher is doing.

When you got the slant height I just multiplied it by 14 then by 4 and then divided it in half then plus 14x14
