👉 Learn how to find the volume and the surface area of a pyramid. A pyramid is a 3-dimensional object having a polygon as its base and triangular surfaces converging at a single point called its apex. A pyramid derives its name from the shape of its base, i.e. a pyramid with a triangular base is called a triangular pyramid while a pyramid with a square base is called square pyramid, etc.

The volume of a pyramid is given by one-third the area of its base multiplied by its height (the distance between its base and the apex). While the total surface area of a pyramid is given by the sum of the areas of all the plane shapes making up the pyramid.

What if they give you the base length and base width and you have to find the slant height with the height already given to you? I don't know to calculate the slant height and I am confused with what to do with the base width and length but I know how to find area of a triangle but the base width and length is confusing me and I know I shouldn't calculate the area of the base as "l x w" cause area of a triangle is 1/2 x b x h so... uhm.. in other words.. I am confused and needss help right now..

when you multiply 6 * 5.2 you didn't multiply by 1/2 for the surface area of a triangle. Or do you not? I am wondering if you accidentally forgot to multiply by 1/2 4:51
